Sethu Meenakshi Charities is a registered Charitable and Educational Trust. This Trust runs the Emerald Valley Public School which was started in the academic year 2008-2009.
About our School
- la pettite kindergarten is the feeder school for Emerald Valley Public School associated with Sethu Meenakshi Charities a registered charitable and Educational Trust.
- It is located on its own spacious campus in the lush green Emerald Valley, at the foothills of Yercaud.
- The curriculum is designed to provide a balanced and holistic approach to early childhood education laying the groundwork for future academic success and lifelong learning. The focus is on activity-based learning to ensure healthy cognitive development and growth. We follow Jolly Phonics and it is a fun and child-centered approach to teaching literacy through synthetic phonics. This multi-sensory method is very motivating for children. A letter name is quite different from the sound a letter makes. Children are taught the sounds that the different letters make, and not the names of the letters.
- Each child will be given a storybook to take home every week. This is to facilitate book reading from a very early age. So we hope that by the time the child completes kindergarten, he/she (and you) will have read at least 30 books that are age-appropriate and appealing for the child.
- We offer a variety of activities like book reading, dressing up, cooking, playing with dolls, playing doctors and patients, painting with poster colours with a big brush, and a multitude of activities like matching, sorting, grading, scribbling, puzzles, beads, etc.
